A year ago I went on Clare Norman's Lock In that’s all about giving us, as coaches, an intensive weekend of mentor coach training. This very specifically enables coaches to coach each other and to give and receive feedback based on the ICF's criteria to become a Professional Certified Coach. We can all keep on learning however long we have been a coach. In my case I really appreciated how very important it is to set up the right environment for coaching. I’m glad to be back in my office overlooking Winchester Cathedral. A client gave me this wooden cross which is perched on the window ledge in this photo. It speaks volumes about light, perspective, location, metaphor, symbolism, new ideas. All of this sets the atmosphere in which a creative coaching conversation can take place.
